This notice describes the processing carried out through the website as it is currently configured.

Høvding Group AS is the data controller for customer communication, including for Høvding Tec. We process the contact details, correspondence and files you choose to share to answer your enquiry and prepare, deliver and follow up agreed projects. Contacting us is voluntary; we need sufficient information to respond or deliver the work.

The website has no contact forms, customer portal or sign-in. You contact us by sending an email to contact@hovdinggroup.com from your own email application. The email links on the website only open your email application; nothing is sent automatically. We receive what you choose to write and attach, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, subject and message, together with ordinary email information such as the sender address and time.

We use the information to answer and follow up B2B enquiries based on our legitimate interest in relevant and secure business communication (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), or for pre-contract steps you request (Article 6(1)(b)). Processing required by law is based on Article 6(1)(c). We do not use profiling or automated decisions.

The website is a static website hosted by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA). When you visit the pages, Vercel processes technical connection information such as IP address, browser and device information, the requested address and the time. This is necessary to deliver the pages, protect the service against abuse and keep operational logs. Vercel processes this information on our behalf as a data processor. We use Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous visitor statistics. It does not use cookies and stores nothing on your device. See the section on website statistics. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and available website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Vercel may process information outside the EEA, including in the United States. The transfer is based on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Vercel is certified, and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in Vercel’s data processing addendum (GDPR Chapter V).

Microsoft is used for company email. Authorised staff and necessary service providers process the information on our behalf. Information is shared only when needed to follow up your case, when required by law or when you ask us to do so. Forwarding to named recipients takes place when agreed or approved. If a provider processes information outside the EEA, a valid GDPR Chapter V transfer mechanism is used.

Website statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to get anonymous, aggregated statistics on how the website is used, for example which pages are visited most. The service does not use cookies and does not store anything on your device.

For each page view, the following is recorded:

  • the time
  • the page visited
  • the referring page
  • your approximate location (country, region, city)
  • operating system, browser and device type

To tell visits apart, a code (hash) is created from the request. The code is automatically deleted after 24 hours. We only see aggregated figures and cannot identify you.

Høvding Group AS is the controller. Vercel Inc. (USA) is the processor. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Vercel may process the data in the USA. Vercel is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and the data processing agreement also includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

The website uses no tracking, advertising pixels or cookie-based analytics. We only use anonymous visitor statistics from Vercel, without cookies. There are no contact forms, customer portal, sign-in, read-aloud or interactive map on the website.

On your first visit, we show a short cookie notice with two equal choices: “Accept” and “Decline”. No language or theme choice is stored before you accept. If you decline, we store only your choice itself (hovding.consent), and any previously stored language and theme choices are deleted. The website works just as well: the language follows the address (.no gives Norwegian, .com gives English), and a selected light/dark appearance applies only while the page is open.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page or with the button below. The legal basis is consent under section 3-15 of the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act and GDPR Article 6(1)(a); storing the choice itself is necessary to respect it.

Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are normally deleted or anonymised within 12 months after the last substantive contact. Information connected with contracts, legally required records or legal claims is retained as long as the purpose or applicable rules require.

You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction, object to processing and, where the conditions apply, request data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.

The newsletter has been discontinued. Earlier unsubscribe links still work. Contact contact@hovdinggroup.com for questions, access or deletion of previous records. Høvding Group AS retains earlier consent, unsubscribe and delivery records only as long as necessary to document and respect your choices.
