HØVDING GROUP AS
A concrete overview of what the website stores
Last updated: 20 October 2026
In short
The website uses no tracking, advertising pixels or cookie-based analytics. We only use anonymous visitor statistics from Vercel, without cookies. There are no contact forms, customer portal, sign-in, read-aloud or interactive map on the website.
The website stores only your language and theme choice, and only if you accept it in the cookie notice. Your choice in the cookie notice is stored so that we do not ask you on every visit.
What is stored locally
| Setting | Storage and duration |
|---|---|
| hovding.consent | Your choice in the cookie notice (accept/decline), version and time. localStorage for 12 months; after that we ask again. Necessary to remember your choice. |
| hovding.lang | Language choice when you switch language with the language button. First-party cookie for up to 12 months and localStorage. Stored only if you have accepted. |
| hovding.theme | Light or dark appearance. localStorage, until the choice is changed or removed. Stored only if you have accepted. |
Our website statistics (Vercel Web Analytics) do not use cookies.
Consent and your choices
On your first visit, we show a short cookie notice with two equal choices: “Accept” and “Decline”. No language or theme choice is stored before you accept. If you decline, we store only your choice itself (hovding.consent), and any previously stored language and theme choices are deleted. The website works just as well: the language follows the address (.no gives Norwegian, .com gives English), and a selected light/dark appearance applies only while the page is open.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page or with the button below. The legal basis is consent under section 3-15 of the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act and GDPR Article 6(1)(a); storing the choice itself is necessary to respect it.
Language selection
Without a choice of your own, Norwegian is shown on the .no addresses and English on the .com addresses. We do not use IP address, country or browser language settings to choose the language.
Hosting and technical logs
The website is a static website hosted by Vercel Inc. (440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA). When you visit the pages, Vercel processes technical connection information such as IP address, browser and device information, the requested address and the time. This is necessary to deliver the pages, protect the service against abuse and keep operational logs. Vercel processes this information on our behalf as a data processor. We use Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous visitor statistics. It does not use cookies and stores nothing on your device. See the section on website statistics. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and available website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Vercel may process information outside the EEA, including in the United States. The transfer is based on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Vercel is certified, and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in Vercel’s data processing addendum (GDPR Chapter V).
External resources
The website does not load advertising or tracking tools from third parties. The only measurement script is Vercel Web Analytics, provided by our hosting provider. Text is displayed with the fonts already installed on your device. Images and video are delivered from the website’s own domain via Vercel. Links to external websites, such as Instagram and X, open only when you click them; their own terms and privacy rules then apply.
Delete or change the choices
Choose “Cookie settings” and “Decline” to delete stored language and theme choices. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser’s privacy or site settings; the cookie notice will then appear again on your next visit.
